Robyn’s Back & We’ve Got The Video To Prove It!

Robyn's been quiet for a while but she's just made a triumphant return in the video below. Though it's not her own song per se, "Out Of The Black" could easily jive with the singer's entire dance-y discography. Top credits go to Neneh Cherry who called her girlfriend Robyn (we couldn't help ourselves) to join the throwback, pop-punk infused R&B track that suits her sound so well.
"Out Of The Black" comes off of Cherry's recently released Blank Project and actually marks a return for both artists. Robyn's been keeping a relatively low profile since her 2010 hit Body Talk, and Neneh Cherry hasn't put out a new solo album since 1996!

On this track, Robyn's distinct vocals add an edge that saves it from floundering in a sea of Yeezus comparisons. But, the video plays like an ode to the days of All That and making collages on notebooks. Robyn might've ditched the platinum 'do this time around, but she still doesn't shrink into subtlety — her signature sound makes this tune bump. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have to go find our nearest windbreaker, baggy jeans, and bucket hat. (Noisey)
