Girls Might Be Coming To A Theater Near You

HBO's Girls might be joining Sex And The City, Veronica Mars, and Entourage as the latest TV show to get the big-screen treatment.
In a recent talk at L.A.'s Television Academy, the show's executive producer Ilene S. Landress was asked about the possibility of a Girls movie. "Sure, why not?" she answered. "If Lena and [co-writers] Jenni [Konner] and Judd [Apatow] have something left to say."
Somehow we can't picture Dunham ever running out of things to say. Whether or not the 27-year-old wants to make the transition to movie star, however, is an entirely different matter altogether. In a recent interview with Glamour, Dunham hinted toward giving up acting altogether. "I don't know if I'm going to want to act anymore," she said. "I'm always relieved on the days I don't have to. I'd rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts."
What that means for the possibility of a Girls movie remains to be seen, but for those of you fearing that it might signal the end of your favorite show about 20-something malaise, fear not: Girls has already been picked up for a fourth season. (Telegraph)
