April will be a key month in 2014 — a great deal of change is heading our way. This is due to the arrival of two important eclipses, first an emotional full-moon lunar eclipse in Libra on April 15 and then a new-moon solar eclipse in Taurus on April 29. If your birthday falls on or close to these dates, your life will change dramatically.
But first, some background: Eclipses always fall on a new moon or full moon, and they always come in pairs, two weeks apart. In April, these are monster moons — full of difficult aspects. So, while either of these new and full moons would have been important in their own right, the fact that these are eclipses — the nodal points of any year, where all events seem to revolve around the strong messages of the eclipses — means they have the strength of three new moons and full moons rolled into one. The first eclipse, on April 15, will be a full moon, ending or culminating a situation or relationship; and the second eclipse is a new moon, setting up a long-term trend.
The cardinal signs of Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn will feel these eclipses the most, but admittedly, everyone of every sign will notice the effects to varying degrees. We all have the four cardinal signs reflected somewhere in our charts. These eclipses have an unusual nature because each of them has the configuration of a grand cardinal cross. Which means that these are angry eclipses, with four planets at tight 90-degree angles from the other, with four “squares” and two oppositions, all in one eclipse. This is unusual. The mathematical degrees are tight, not wide, suggesting that a very targeted message will emerge. Plus, Uranus, the planet of sweeping and unexpected change, will be prominent, meaning nothing that occurs will be expected.

Cardinal signs are linked to the north, south, east, and west points on the compass, so they define direction. People who were born under cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn) are the pioneers of the zodiac. They are energetic, adventurous and to some degree, impatient for change. When a grand cardinal cross occurs, planets will move to block one another, and as a result, the planets will not allow energy to flow easily but instead bounce around the chart. The planets involved with this month are the heavy-duty outer planets, unpredictable Uranus, super-power Pluto, giving Jupiter, warrior planet Mars, and in the case of the April 15 eclipse, a full moon with Mars.
When a fly is trapped in a hot pot, it continually searches for an exit, flying frantically from side to side, and bouncing off the walls of the pot, but it can find no escape. Well, these eclipses are similar. I feel that a cardinal cross will create a rapid, often unexpected change to present conditions, requiring a strong adjustment to fast-moving events. The mission of an eclipse will be to uncover truth, and to sweep away unproductive and outworn elements — although at the time, you may feel that what is being taken away or changed is still relevant to you, not outworn at all. But, have faith, as the universe will be working on your behalf, even if you don’t yet see this to be true.
If you are curious, there are only three kinds of cross patterns possible in a chart — a grand cardinal cross, a grand fixed cross and a grand mutable cross. A mutable cross will include Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces, but mutable signs are highly flexible and adaptable, so a mutable cross allows for negotiation, and is therefore easier to experience and negotiate.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
In a grand fixed cross you would have the signs of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, and Scorpio involved. Fixed signs are certain about where they stand and what they want to happen next, and therefore less flexible people — but often are quite stable and able to set up the platform of a new future. Of the three types of grand crosses, the cardinal cross is considered the hardest one to cope with, as cardinal signs are so pioneering and energetic, and these signs are all associated with taking a new, fresh direction, and sweeping away the past.
Most readers — approximately 70% — will feel an eclipse on the day it occurs, with a plus or minus four days of tolerance. About 20% of readers will feel the eclipse one month to a day later, so in case that is you, you should watch May 14 and May 28, plus or minus four days, for news. Being that astrologers deal with bell curves, I can also tell you that approximately 5% of readers will have already heard news of the April eclipses a month earlier, on March 14 and March 28 (and in each case, apply the plus-or-minus-four-days rule).
The mission of an eclipse is to bring truth to the surface, for once you have truth, you can protect yourself. Anything outworn and of no future relevance will be ended, so that new opportunities and conditions can take the place of things that go. The universe insists on new ideas and growth and will never tolerate the status quo for very long — a lesson we learn forcibly at eclipse time.

Now, with all that in mind, let’s have a look at how you will fare during the two eclipses on April 15 and April 29.
ARIES_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

The area where you will notice the most activity will be in regard to close relationship, as the April 15 eclipse will light your house of committed partnerships and marriage. The eclipse may focus you on the partner you are married to, or are attached to in a long term, established, exclusive romantic relationship. But, if your romantic relationship is strong, the eclipse instead may focus on a serious business partner or collaborator. If you do not have any serious relationships at work or home, you may need to pay special attention to your health.

Eclipses weed out the weaknesses in any situation so that you can live a more productive, vibrant life. If you were unaware of things going on behind the scenes, information will come to light very rapidly. Throughout this period, your urge for independence will be very strong.
Pluto’s position as part of the cardinal cross will bring change to your career. You may not see eye-to-eye with a top authority figure, and you may be tempted to hotly debate your boss or client, but it would be best to hold back. A lot of dust will be kicked up at the April 15 eclipse, and it will be difficult to clearly see the road ahead. Watch and wait. Being that this eclipse is a full moon, you may feel very emotional about what occurs. It is also possible that you may see an end to your job because the project is over, or because the company has run out of funds. You may already have anticipated this — but, while it may not be a surprise, you may still feel upset that this is happening.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
There will be more possible manifestations. This eclipse may show you that you should move to a different city as a result of career developments. Whatever is happening, it is clear that the center will not hold together much longer — and applying old rules to new conditions won’t work, even if your solutions worked well in the past. It is alternatively possible that a boss who you admired and accepted your current job for, may suddenly announce a departure, leaving you feeling rudderless. If this describes you, wait and see what happens, and don’t make any moves yet.
If you were born near April 15 (from April 11 to April 19) you will feel the April 15 full-moon eclipse more than most. The closer your birthday falls to April 15, the stronger the eclipse’s effect. Keep in mind that an eclipse works to protect you, not make you upset. Eclipses work toward strength (even when it doesn't feel that way).
The second eclipse, on April 28, will likely bring a sudden change in the source of your income. Or, you might buy something expensive, such as a house or other real estate, a car, or for a ticket to Paris. But, I suspect you may also negotiate a new salary — so, see what happens. This eclipse is not much easier than the one on April 15, but both, although difficult, have the power to bring positive outcomes in time, as long as you're determined to be a part of that outcome.

TAURUS_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

The first eclipse, on April 15, may bring a secret to your attention, information that someone tried to keep from you to protect their own interests. Or, alternatively, if you have your own secret, it may become quite public now, so be careful.

The house where the April 15 eclipse will fall also rules your mental and physical health, so if you have put off getting medical or dental help previously, this eclipse may show you that it is necessary to keep watch over your mind, body, and spirit. Respond to your body's concerns in a timely manner, for only you can be the best friend to all that is you.
Your more important of the two eclipses will occur on April 28. If your birthday falls on this day, or within four days of this date, it will affect you more than other Taurus you know. You will find that your life will look and feel dramatically different in the year ahead. Old solutions won’t work any longer — it’s time to try a new approach. You may also see the writing on the wall. By that I mean, facts that may have been obvious to your friends and family, but not to you, will now become more obvious to you as well, and you will need to accept certain realities. Resisting change will be futile — it’s time to shape a new future.
You will likely have a lifestyle shift as a result of all you see; such as to marry or have a baby, as two of literally dozens of possibilities, and through this process of change, you will see your talents, and the value of your experience, in a new light. Again, your health will be under the micro-glass, and if you have ignored any signs that your body needs attention, the eclipse will show you why you need to slow down and get help.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
Oh, and at work, Mars will stir the pot. You may see changes in the office, with personnel shifts. You will need a list of workers who you can choose from if you need to replace a key employee who just suddenly up and left. Don’t spend any energy trying to resist any of the changes that occur at April’s end — it’s time to march to a new beat.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

A romantic relationship will occupy your full attention at the April 15 eclipse, as something that has been going on under your radar will bubble up. It’s time to decide about the person you are dating, in the light of this new information that will be revealed. Don’t necessarily assume that all news will be bad news, as you may discover that the person you are romantically attached to truly loves you. Eclipses cannot tolerate the status quo, so you will be called upon to take action and improve your relationship, in new ways that you are ready to do now.

Still, I will admit, if your lover has betrayed you, you will discover those facts now. You may lose faith in the character of someone when his or her true colors are revealed. Mars will oppose Uranus, a highly explosive mix, and it seems certain that a friend will have a hand in what happens, perhaps by being the one who delivers the shocking news or by being part of the scenario of a those who have betrayed your trust. But, conversely, sometimes it is not what a person does so much as what they have failed to do that is the more intolerable sin. You will not expect any of the news that comes up, but if recent events that have been puzzling, finally, the weeks or months of suspense will be over.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
Your fifth house, to be so lit up on April 15, also rules conception and the children you have now, so an unexpected pregnancy may have you pondering what to do, or a situation with one of your children may have you thinking about how best to help your kid. Alternatively, a creative project may come off the rails, and you will have to decide how best to fix it. No matter what comes up though, it appears financial considerations will enter the discussion, as shown by the position of Pluto at the time.
The second eclipse, on April 28, might show you that someone close to you isn't sharing all of the information you need. But remember: An eclipse will only be troublesome if you discover data you have needed has been hidden from you, so if no discrepancy is found you are likely to sail through the eclipse with very little (or no) dramatic event. Keep watch over your health, and schedule annual checkups. Of the two eclipses, the first one will be the more important one for you, on April 15.
There is no way to prepare for an eclipse, so just open the window, sit back, and see what flies in.
CANCER_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

The April 15 eclipse will be a full-moon lunar eclipse, and being that the moon rules your sign, dear Cancer, you will feel this lunar event more directly than pretty much every other sign. That eclipse will light your fourth house of home, so your attention will be directed to your physical living space or other property you may own or rent, or conversely, you may be focused on a parent — most likely your mother, because lunar eclipses are considered female in nature.

AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
Full moons stir emotions, bring up memories, and are also known to mark endings. Eclipses are non-negotiable, so go with the flow, and protect your dignity by not trying to reverse a decision or dictate (never a good idea at eclipse time). You may need to move out of your place, for a reason being presented now, and being uprooted suddenly can cause a lot of tension, especially to a Cancer. Oh, and if you are buying or selling a house mid-month, prepare for surprising last-minute elements that will require flexibility.
Your career will be demanding, too, at the very same time, but your home will be the more pressing area of the two, and you will have no choice but to direct all your attention there. Your boss or client won’t be happy about seeing you spend time on a personal home or family matter, so you’ll have to find a way to appease them in the interim while you settle whatever news the eclipse will ask you to accept and possibly fix. In the meantime, work will pile up on your desk and so prepare your balancing act. If your birthday falls on July 17, plus or minus four days, you will feel the effects of this eclipse quite directly. If your birthday falls far from this date, you will feel them mildly, or possibly not at all.
The second eclipse will be less dramatic for you, but still tense — because, instead of a full moon, the April 28 event will be a new-moon solar eclipse, known to kick off new chapters and reveal new paths. This eclipse will put the spotlight on a female friend or your membership or leadership in a club or charity. You may suddenly experience political maneuvering within the club or organization. Or, it may be that a friend is moving away or entering a new life stage, changing the way you both interacted with each other in the past. For example, your friend may be getting married and moving away, and although you will stay in touch, you will realize that things between you won’t stay the same. In a sad manifestation of this idea, you may have a falling out with your friend, and the friendship you’ve shared may end. If the friendship means a lot to you, be careful with the words you use during this time, as you won’t likely be able to take them back later. Things that happen at eclipse time tend to be final and non-negotiable.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
There are other ways this eclipse may manifest itself, but all will involve a friend or your involvement with a group. At the same time, at month’s end, you may also have to contend with evolving, complex matters at home or in regard to family. Your partner won’t be much help. Unsolicited advice from a partner might grate at your nerves, and feel like meddling. You won’t appreciate being treated like a child by a partner who assumes you can’t think for yourself. Sigh. So, yes, April will be trying. And, if your birthday falls within five days of June 25, you will feel the eclipse of April 28 directly.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Travel, contracts, and communications will be the main focus of the first eclipse, on April 15. If you are in the process of negotiating a contract or any sort of agreement, be wary as you get close to April 15, for talks may suddenly go off in a new direction, which likely won't be the direction you would have hoped for. Travel could also be fraught with delays, so plan for that, and before heading out, make sure each appointment is confirmed, as last-minute delays may come up to distract you. The person you hope to see will be subject to the same frustrations as you, which is why I feel it is not wise to schedule any important talks or business visits at eclipse time.

Pluto’s position mid-month suggests that you may not have enough help at the office, or that someone who reports to you directly is about to leave suddenly. In a more troubling manifestation, a subordinate may be working at cross-purposes to your aims and be disloyal to you — perhaps by trying to take credit for your work. There are many possibilities, but all of them are likely to cause you tension. A project may be ending now, but difficulties could come up in the eleventh hour as you rush to wrap it up.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
And then, the second eclipse, on April 28, will light your house of career, reputation, and professional honors, awards, and achievement. If you do not work for a living, this eclipse may relate to work you’ve done for the community, Ordinarily, you would get a major promotion at a new moon in Taurus, for it would light your tenth house of professional success, but in this all-too-unusual month, you may encounter sudden changes that you would have never anticipated, on the path to promotion. Someone may go back on a promise, making you feel that the rug has been pulled out from under you. A male client or boss (indicated by an eclipsed Sun, since the Sun is always a male in a chart) may suddenly announce a departure. This may affect all the work you’ve been doing up until now and you may miss this person who you reported to and who had been kind to you. Until the dust settles, you will not know what to do to protect your situation, so just sit tight and let things settle around you. It won't be long.
VIRGO_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You will need to protect your personal financial resources, as the full-moon lunar eclipse will fall in your second house of salary and other earned income. At the same time, Mars will oppose Uranus and Mercury, your ruler, leaving you feeling shocked by what transpires. A sudden expense may come up, but not one you could have ever anticipated. So, it may be wise to hold off on any expensive purchases until the April 15 eclipse has spoken.

AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
This lunar eclipse on April 15 will fall in Libra, looping Venus into the conversation (because Venus rules Libra). Venus will orbit close to Neptune, the planet of the fog and confusion. And, in certain cases, that proximity to Neptune may also point to a possible deception. Venus will be traveling in your house of partnership and marriage, so you may be concerned that a romantic or business partner with whom you live or divide property or share expenses and commissions, has not been altogether transparent in his or her financial dealings with you. Ask to see all backup facts and figures, and do not allow anyone to speak for you in meetings without discussing all facts with you first. You need to be present and involved in all money-oriented conversations and decisions.
The new-moon solar eclipse in Taurus on April 28 will shift your attention quickly to legal matters. You may file a lawsuit against someone — or someone may hope to reap a financial gain by suing you. If you owe anyone money, take the debt seriously, and make plans to pay it off now, or agree to meet to set up a payment plan. It appears the other side will be wiling to go to the mat over this matter so you will not be able to delay dealing directly with it. New moons start trends, not finish them, so this is a good time to open talks.
You may need to travel a long distance, suddenly, at month’s end, just after April 28. Or, you may see changes in a relationship you have with a person in a company overseas. This eclipse in Taurus will blend better with your Virgo Sun as compared with the April 15 eclipse in Libra, so the news of the second (solar) eclipse should theoretically be easier to deal with in April. If you are waiting for news about an immigration matter, that will come up at this time, too. Defending a thesis? You may do it in April, and although the process will be strenuous, if you are prepared, you will come out on top, with your PhD.

LIBRA_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

The first eclipse, on April 15, will be in your sign, dear Libra. Its mission will be to help you see how far you’ve come in life, and to learn to better appreciate your own talents and strengths. The eclipse will also encourage you to think about where you want to take your life in the future — this is important. You appear to be ready to start a new chapter, something that will be even more obvious at the new-moon-in-Libra solar eclipse on October 8. For now though, you will need to tie up loose ends and sever ties and commitments that you feel are no longer relevant to you.

You are a cardinal sign, and the active planets forming a cross pattern are also cardinal, so you will feel quite a bit of tension.
Clear your calendar so that you can focus on anything that should come up, for this eclipse is due to be a strenuous one for you. Having said that, this eclipse will affect you most powerfully if your birthday falls on October 18, plus or minus four days. Other Libras may only feel this eclipse in a mild way, especially if you have no-natal planets at 25 degrees to be touched by this eclipse.

Mars is still in your sign, but in retrograde, and this is temporarily weakening your ability to take control of what is going on at the time of the eclipse. (Mars will go direct May 19.) You will have the Sun, Mercury, and Uranus opposing your Sun in Libra — that's quite a build up of planetary power directly across the sky, so your best bet is to be conciliatory rather than to actively lock horns with those who seem to be arguing against your proposed methods, ideas, or plans.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
With such strong push-pull at play, you may separate yourself from a partner. It is unclear from where I sit if that person is someone you are married to, or is a person you deal with in business. It is alternatively likely that your partner will deliver news that you could not have anticipated. Mars, your ruler, is found opposite Uranus, a very inflammatory aspect, so things could easily lead to an angry confrontation. This will be a full-moon eclipse, making for a highly emotional time, and the eclipse will bring feelings to a boil, and those will need to be expressed. Just remember: Eclipses shine their light on truth, providing you with all the information you need to see a situation clearly.
It will be vital that you watch your health, as eclipses sometimes point to medical matters that should be addressed before you let the condition go on too long. Alternatively, the surprise may be coming from a partner about his or her health, so if you're married, make sure to encourage your partner to go for checkups if anything seems even remotely “off.”
The second eclipse, on April 28, will be a solar new-moon eclipse in your eighth house of other people’s money. If you want to separate from your long-term partner in marriage or a serious business alliance, the emphasis on this area of your chart would point to talks about the division of property that occurs before an official split. Other types of funds covered by this house — where your interest may alternatively be drawn — include commissions, insurance payouts and premiums, inheritance, taxes, pensions, and other funds that are often paid in or out in one lump sum, not over a long period, as weekly salary.
AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT
This same area also rules venture capital, so if you expect an infusion of cash for your business, ask for a legal letter of intent at the time the promise is made, and watch for any problems in getting the funds as we get closer to April 28. Eclipses often bring surprise news, so you may have a promise for a financial investment in your company that falls through at the last minute, no matter what preparations you put in place. However, you should at least do a thorough background check prior to making the deal, so that you will not be caught short at the last minute.
SCORPIO_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

The things going on out of view, just under the surface, may be where you need to focus during the lunar eclipse, on April 15. Falling in your twelfth house, the last house of the horoscope, this eclipse will bring news only if someone has taken pains to keep you in the dark about a certain situation — everything is about to come out.

This same area of the chart also rules healing and rehabilitation of the mind, body, and spirit. If you have had an emotional problem that you feel would require the advice of a therapist or coach, it is likely that you will be more inclined to reach out for help at mid-month. If you have not been feeling well, an eclipse in the sixth house, where you will host your eclipse, indicates it’s a good time to have a checkup or a talk with a professional. It is alternatively possible that someone close to you will be hospitalized or move into a nursing home, physical-therapy center and will depend on your cheery presence and assistance now.
The second eclipse, on April 28, will be the more important one of the two for you. Falling in your opposing sign of Taurus, it will shine a light on your close relationship with your steady, exclusive partner in love and/or marriage, or with a business partner or collaborator. You may learn news about your partner that you didn’t expect. You may make a sudden decision to part ways, or just the opposite, to marry or make things more official — but, just be prepared, because decisions will be pushed to either end of the spectrum. Big life events tend to happen on eclipses, but I advise you to go slowly to be sure you have all the facts you need to make an informed decision. Eclipses are famous for their power to dramatically accelerate a timeline.
Difficulties with legal matters might come up, too, and at the office, a work project or dealings with coworker or subordinate seems to be problematic, too. You might feel that you are getting no support from those around you, and you might have to fend for yourself. If you conclude that everyone around you has gone a little crazy near the solar eclipse of April 28, you're probably right. Sometimes, it is perfectly normal to feel like the only sane person in the room.
If your birthday falls within four days of October 31, you will feel this eclipse’s effects quite strongly. In that case, clear your calendar so that you can deal calmly with all that you need to do.
sagIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You may be shocked by the behavior or words of a friend at the full-moon lunar eclipse, on April 15. Allow a plus or minus four days of tolerance to this day, and clear your calendar, because it will not be easy to let this event roll off your shoulders.

There are other ways the eclipse may assert news, but all of them will involve either friends or acquaintances who you know and care about, or who you recently met. It seems you may have had a different set of expectations about how you’d be treated by them, and that is related to the shocking news that these eclipses will likely deliver.
The part of your chart that is lit up for you also rules clubs and charities, and certain social and professional groups devoted to making improvements to society though humanitarian, community, or political action. You may have taken a voluntary leadership role in an organization, but may be surprised that you find yourself at loggerheads with the group’s management at mid-month. Tread carefully.
Sometimes an eclipse will not bring strife or disagreement, but rather care and concern over the welfare of the person highlighted in the chart. Your friend may have been given difficult life news, and you may be called upon to help her through her very emotional crisis at this full moon.
At the same time, your house of love will be lit up, so you might have a romantic situation that needs tending to. (You may wonder, what else can happen this month?) With many heavenly bodies moving through your house of true love, all in disagreeable position to the eclipse 180 degrees away, you may feel tense about the way the person you are dating is treating you. It is possible a friend will give you his or her opinion about your love life, or worse, that your friend has eyes for your partner, and may be acting on it. Stay alert, and although it is unlikely that the worst manifestations of this eclipse may come up, in a month like this, you need to be ready for anything.
The new-moon solar eclipse of April 28 may be a time when you realize that you cannot burn the candle at both ends without having to pay for it eventually. That right, your body will rebels. There may be times that you can — and must — get away with long hours of work with little sleep, but this month is not one of those times. The eclipse will fall in the part of your chart ruling health, and so something may occur near April 28 and the days that follow to show you that you must take your health seriously.
This same eclipse will bring problems with an assignment and also your compensation (either in terms of salary or commission) and your news will likely make you incredulous when you hear it. You and the other signs are all in the same boat, dear Sagittarius. Soldier on, for you are in the process of weeding out the outworn elements of your life that will allow you to enter an exciting period of renewal. If the eclipses ask you to shed a skin, do it — the new and improved “you” that will emerge will be worth any trouble you had to go through this month to get there.
CAPRICORN_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Your life may feel some very real pressure right now. That's because the two eclipses of this month will set off possible changes at home or in regard to a parent or other family member, and your career and, later, also your love life and plans you might have to have a baby. Each area will demand attention — all seemingly at once.

At first, you will need to put more emphasis on your career, especially in the days that circle the full-moon lunar eclipse, on April 15. You may be ready to change the kind of work you do as a result of shifts, or take on more responsibility and a bigger title in a different company doing the same work. You may get an offer that will allow you to break the mold and make a transition into a completely new industry. Alternatively, you may decide to stay put, happy to work for your boss, only to discover that he or she is leaving. In this case, you may wonder, what you should do. Do little; first wait to see if you like the new boss who takes her place.
Whatever is happening at work will have a direct impact at home, and you will feel strong pressure to take care of both areas, which will, admittedly, require superhuman strength. You may need to move or quickly help a parent. If you're out of work, you may find that every job you find that interests you will require relocation — that choice is of course up to you, but in that case, it seems likely that you will be moving.
Capricorns born on January 15 or within four days of this date will feel this eclipse the most. This month will not be easy for you, but the changes you experience now will actually work in your favor over time — you simply need to get beyond these eclipses. But, if your birthday does not fall near January 15, you will only feel the influence mildly.
Just when you are getting familiar with the problems presented at the April 15 eclipse, you will quickly be faced with a new-moon solar eclipse, on April 28, which will begin a new trend in your love life. You may meet someone new, or deal with a surprise pregnancy, or else you may be focused on a child that you already have. If you don’t have a child and do not wish for children, then this eclipse will likely green-light a new creative project.
This eclipse will be in Taurus, a sign that blends well with your Capricorn Sun, so events at this time may be easily absorbed. However, at the same time, Mars will oppose Uranus and continue to bring up decisions about the matters that came to your attention earlier, at the first eclipse of April 15, in regard to your family, home, other property, and vast shifts in your career. Everything seems to influence everything else this month, dear Capricorn, and that will be true for one and all. Fortunately, you are an unflappable sign, able to withstand pressures that would make others fold in the very first burst of news — but then, that is what makes you such a fine leader.
AQUARIUS_smallIllustrated by Emily Forgot.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

The first eclipse, on April 15, will light up the area of your chart that involves long-distance travel, legal matters, publishing and broadcasting ventures, as well as immigration issues (including green cards and visa), and will also powerfully impact negotiations that you may be conducting on a contract. Finding accord may prove to very difficult at this time, as none of the planets appear to be working in a cooperative mode. I strongly urge you to push off important matters to May, at the earliest.

I say that gingerly because an eclipse will always have the ability to affect you one month later (May 15) plus or minus four days (or even one month to the day earlier, so March, 15 with the same plus or minus four days.) Mercury will go retrograde in June, and severe cosmic storms will dot the first week in July. Meaning, you may be waiting quite a while for things to clear up. So, if you put plans in place amidst such difficult aspects, you will be working harder than you need to for your initial date, setting up the DNA of the project. Ideally, you will want the best aspects at play at all new initiations.
And then, the more important of the two eclipses will occur on April 28, when a solar new moon will appear in Taurus in your house of home, property, and family, most directly influencing one of your parents — most likely your father or another male connected with your home. This eclipse will set you off in a new direction, either because you have to move, or else because you need to renovate or repair your home. The fact that an eclipse is triggering this means it is no small action but a big one that will affect your life for a long time as you move forward. Planets will be squared off on this eclipse, too, and will affect your work-a-day projects, and even things going on behind the scenes, most probably at work, that you don’t even know about yet.
Don’t spend any time thinking about what you cannot change, and instead focus on the things you can change. Your career is coming up as a big focus mid-May, so the time you are spending on your home situation will lay the groundwork for you to more fully give yourself to your career next month. That may be your moment to shine, so keep this in mind as you make it through April.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Pisces is not a very materialistic sign, but at the first eclipse, on April 15, you will need to focus on money. You may be facing a powerful drain on your financial resources, related to taxes, an inheritance, or a purchase you did not know you needed to make (such as for a car or computer). These are some examples, but of course, there are literally hundreds of possible examples of things that might require a large check. Something about this event, however, seems quite unexpected and jarring, and the money you will need to pay will cause you to feel a pinch.

Your best bet will be not to see your accountant on or near the emotional full-moon lunar eclipse of April 15, but to get your tax return done as early as possible. If you need an extension, file in mid-to-late July, your best month, not September or October. Your house of hopes and wishes, as well as your house of children and love are also about to be drawn into the conversation of the April 15 eclipse, so you may also have to put off a personal desire.
But then, the April 28 eclipse will be a bit easier to experience, as it will be in Taurus, a sign that blends well with your Pisces sun. This eclipse will set off an event that centers on your ability to communicate well in writing, editing, filming, coding, advertising, translation or other such related skills. Still, although the project or opportunity may be exciting, you will have a few obstacles to get through. Be careful about any contract you sign — study it thoroughly and be sure to bring in your attorney to look it over, too. With Pluto at odds with Mars, Uranus, and Jupiter, no one will find April an easy time to find accord.
Most troubling will be the opposition of Mars to Uranus, both in financial houses, so money might be a point of contention. Still, Pisces is thought to be one of the most flexible signs, and if anyone can find imaginative, creative solutions to any obstacle, it is you. Keep reminding yourself that you are not in the center of the storm that is these eclipses.
As a Pisces, you had your own little nightmares from 2007 to early 2010, and those are finished. You learned a lot during that phase, and you are all the stronger for it now. You have the smarts to do a fine negotiation, so go slowly and do not be pressured under any circumstances to rush. There’s a reason it’s been said that there are more Pisces millionaires than any other sign (along with Virgo) — you put the emphasis on the product or service, where it truly belongs, which easily explains your success.
