This Woman’s Story About Vitiligo Will Move You To Tears

Cheri Lindsay lives with vitiligo, a skin-pigment disorder, and her story is one of the most powerful we've ever heard (and seen). Her video here is part of Dermablend's Camo Confessions campaign to get women to remove their concealer and coverage. It will inspire you to think about the power of using beauty to translate who you are to the world.
Lindsay's discussion about the progress of her condition, how others have reacted, and how she uses makeup coverage to seamlessly move about her life is deeply moving. And, her determination to make sure her condition isn't the only thing that defines her is awe-inspiring. "Can I still be successful with it? Hell, yes," she says. We don't say this lightly: Her confidence makes her extraordinarily beautiful, made-up or barefaced.
Lindsay's story, along with two other videos in the series — Rico, a.k.a. "Zombie Boy," and his story of tattoo coverage and YouTube sensation Cassandra Bankson's testimonial of living with acute acne — are powerful and thought-provoking. Check out the other Dermablend videos here (complete with makeup tutorials) and decide how you want to express your inner beauty outwardly.
