If you thought we were done covering the Oscars, you're wrong! Especially when Oscar host and selfie queen Ellen DeGeneres drops a video like the one she did on her show today.
As she's been teasing all week, Ellen finally released a mini-documentary that captures the days before Sunday's big show, as well as some amazingly candid and intimate backstage moments that occurred during the broadcast itself. We get to see Ellen tell Jennifer Lawrence that their selfie broke Twitter, and as you can imagine, Lawrence's reaction is priceless. We also see Ellen greeting an emotional Lupita Nyong'o backstage after she delivered what might go down as one of the greatest speeches in Oscar history. There are also great encounters with the likes of Channing Tatum and Will Smith, but we won't spoil them for you here.
But, before we see all the glamour of Oscar night, Ellen takes inside a far less glamorous production meeting, in which she discusses the selfie seen 'round the world. "I think we should say I'm trying to get the most retweeted picture ever," she tells her team, "and I hope that everyone jumps in." If by everyone she meant 10 of the biggest movie stars on the planet, well, then Ellen should be pretty pleased. We know we are. Check out the amazing video in its entirety below.
