High schooler Matt Peterson, who had made a public appeal in asking Cyrus to go to prom with him, got an earful when he popped his question. The singer declined the invite but invited Peterson to the Phoenix show, where she serenaded him with "Adore You." Wearing Peterson's homemade tongue-emblazoned tuxedo jacket (this guy is good!) onstage, Cyrus also posed for photos and accepted a corsage from the teen, who bent down on one knee. That's right when Hemsworth got a bit of a ribbing.
“I was in this position once before, and it didn’t work out too well the last time a guy got on one knee for me,” Cyrus joked of her past engagement “Hopefully, this will be better.”
We'll give the girl a pass since she went out of her way to make Peterson's night so special. At least she seems to have a sense of humor about her tabloid romance... (Hollywood Life)
