James Franco Is Getting His Own Acting School — Sign Us Up!

James Franco has taught at pretty much every school that ever existed, so it was only a matter of time before he launched one of his own. The squinty-eyed renaissance man is collaborating with acting school Playhouse West to launch Studio 4, a Franco-helmed drama hub that will also feature the occasional guest teacher. Please say Seth Rogen, please say Seth Rogen.
Okay, so maybe Seth Rogen isn't the ideal candidate to teach aspiring actors how to emote, but Franco has promised to bring in qualified industry professionals for Q&A sessions. Since there's literally no project he'll say no to, Franco has become one of the most well-connected people in Hollywood. Our early wish list for guest speakers include Franco collaborators Harmony Korine, Danny Boyle, Danny McBride, Julia Roberts, and Tina Fey, and that's just off the top of our head.
Franco's acting classes will focus on the Meisner technique, which was developed by the legendary pedagogue Sanford Meisner, and focuses on spontaneity and improvisation. Franco has also promised to cast roles for his personal projects with students from his class. Where do we sign up? (Oh No They Didn't)
