UPDATE: Entertainment Weekly spoke with Sex and the City producer Michael Patrick King, and he's got us thinking a SATC 3 isn't totally out of the question. He told EW, "Sarah Jessica and I both know what the final chapter is. That doesn't mean it will or should be told, but I do think there's one story left," adding that whether or not it even happens is an entirely different issue. There's still no solid confirmation that the sequel to the sequel is happening, but King's comments certainly have us leaning towards a "hopefully."

Sex And The City gave us many things. Among them, a special perspective on Manhattan and, let's face it, many a quote in our AIM profile. And, we got really excited when the first Sex And The City movie hit the big screen in 2008. Even the second installment was a nice visit with the fab four that are Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte. But, we were also ready to leave the SATC franchise in a nice, nostalgic bubble. According to Sarah Jessica Parker, though, there may be a third film in the works.
SJP told InStyle that, when it comes to SATC, "A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell [...] But, timing is a peculiar thing. It isn't a decision that can wait forever. I don't want to have to wear muumuus!"
While it may seem a farfetched to imagine a trilogy, Kristen Davis told Haute Living in December that she, too, would be on board. "I don't think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion. People talk about it...but I don't know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did."
In fact, the only star who seems disinterested in a Sex And The City 3 is Cynthia Nixon. And, we have to agree with her notion: "I think it's fine to let it go." (E Online)
