Bust Creams: Are They Worth It?

talika
Truth be told, we love a good cream that promises to reverse the effects of gravity. We've been known to slather on more than a few ourselves because, you know, time marching on means that it leaves footprints of the bagging and sagging variety all across our bodies. But when it comes to bust creams, we've been more than a little skeptical about claims of lifting where construction (read: underwire) is usually required. Luckily, the girls from The Cut have performed the heavy (and not-so-heavy) lifting for us.
In a recent article, the beauty mavens decided to each test a bust cream for one solid month, slathering their breasts in hopes of higher, firmer assets. They were inspired by the French (aren't we all?) who make this type of cream readily available in pretty much every skincare line. We won't spoil the results, but let's just say that their breasts were much softer in texture, but everyone still needed a bra.

The jury's out on whether applying these creams later in the game of life is really that effective vs. starting to slather when we're young. But if there's one thing we can take away from the experiment: Giving yourself a good rubdown with any skin-softening cream should be part of your daily ritual, and that includes your breasts. After all, they're working hard for you every day, enduring all nature of bras and painful support devices. Showing them a little love may not replace wearing a bra, but it's the right thing to do. Send a little love via bust cream to your girls. What could it hurt? (The Cut)
