Brow Pomade Is Now A Thing & We Tried It For You

There's not a lot we won't do in the name of a strong brow. It's one trend that we've embraced without ever looking back. Give us your pencils, your gels, your spoolie brushes — we want more brow, and we want it all the time. And, apparently, we're not the only ones. Anastasia Beverly Hills has created a product that puts our whole game to shame: brow pomade.
Much like the pomade we use in our hair, this stuff is serious business. It comes in a little pot and looks a lot like eyeliner. In fact, you can use it as an eyeliner if you want to go for a monochromatic look. It's waterproof, which means it's also sweat-proof (and by sweat, we mean our greasy foreheads). A little goes a very, very long way, as we discovered while testing it out at our desks. Even the lightest shade, Blonde, is pretty dark because what's the point of a brow pomade if you're not going to really lean into it?

The texture is as intense as the color. You know how sometimes, you comb a clear gel up through your brows and within an hour, they've wilted back to their original shape? That will never happen with Dipbrow: It's like cement. But, it doesn't feel icky when it dries and has a soft finish that feels almost like our natural brows. And, we're pretty sure that the final look appears natural, too — to strangers. As one of our editors put it, "If I saw you on the street, I would think those were your real brows." Meaning: To people who know what your brows are supposed to look like, this is anything but subtle. But, we're okay with that.
If you're going to try this out, we recommend getting the duo brush. One end is an angled brush, so you can fill in your brow with it, and the other is a spoolie to make sure you blend it evenly. It's really convenient. It would have been even more convenient if the pomade came with the brush, but we guess Anastasia has got to make her money somewhere.
So, brow lovers, let us know: Are you brave enough for a brow pomade, or will you stick to clear gel for now?
