As we look forward to 2014, Katy Perry's latest appearance on the red carpet winks to 2011. Specifically, we're talking about the pop star's high/low skirt. It's the tricky style loved by fashion bloggers and festival goers alike. Some ladies adored it — others didn't. Che sarà. But, the Perry version at the NRJ Awards in Cannes was a bit different.
In a cream-colored Osman dress, the singer sported lots of sparkle and a long braid that hung down her back. But, unlike other high/low numbers, this one had more of a train-like effect that suspended in midair, adding just a bit of drama. While we love her flash of gold and seriously blinged-out soles, we're torn on the train. Is it a wow-factor dress all the way, or is this statement-maker the kind of thing only Perry could pull off?
