If you've got kids or particularly crafty pets, you may want to update your iOS 7 software right about now. Last week, Apple released its fourth bug fix for the new mobile operating system, which addressed a hiccup in FaceTime but also added an additional layer of security to in-app purchases. Until now, some app and in-app purchases could be completed through your mobile device without the use of a password, as long as you're already signed in. The 7.0.4 update includes a security patch that fixes that problem, including "additional enforcement of purchase authorization," according to Apple.
This might not sound so important. However, consider the roughly $6,400 one man's young daughter inadvertently racked up when making in-app purchases on her dad's iPad. This actually happens more often than you'd think.
