Leave it to Miley Cyrus to sensibly do Halloween. Not the name you expected to fall into that sentence? Hey, we, too, were a little shocked, but then we remembered the spot-on approach to her Nicki Minaj costume last year.
This All Hallows' Eve, Cyrus channeled Lil' Kim. Now, those are two things you'd expect in the same sentence. Anyway, yes, Miley donned Kim's infamous purple outfit from the 1999 VMAs, complete with the purple-seashell nipple pasty and wig. It's a practical — dare we day prudent — approach to the look. Like her Minaj costume, Cyrus tapped into the essence of Kim's personality instead of literally painting her face to become the personality (something Julianne Hough and a few bigwig designers are getting flack for today). The most shocking thing about Cyrus' Lil' Kim look is how not shocking it is. A wig, a pasty, and the right onesie are all that are needed. Well, that and her best friend Leslie parading around as Diana Ross yelling "she's just being Miley." (Daily Mail)
