Lucky Lupo is the latest number to join the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s clan, but despite his good fortune, it seems he’s not such a good-luck charm for his fellow cocker spaniels.
Demand for little Lupos everywhere has caused a spike on the black market, and led to countless puppy thefts. According to Pet Detectives – yes, that's an actual thing — since the puppy was first pictured frolicking with his famous parents, the value of the breed has “soared.” Registered breeders “cannot — and do not — want to meet demand.” We wonder what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would have to say about this? We think it’s time for a puppy PSA…. (The Evening Standard)
