Vibrators, landing strips, and emasculation! Oh my! It's taken all summer, but the feminist parody of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" is here. Thanks to New Zealand's University of Auckland's Law Revue girls, Zoe Ellwood, Olivia Lubbock, and Adelaide Dunn the lines Thicke blurred have been defined in a cover song that'd make Weird Al smile in approval.
Now anyone can reverse the roles and objectify men — that's the easy part. What's not is rewriting the lyrics with a feminist spin that's filled with both ironic humor and relevant bias that actually fit the song rhythmically. Watching three men do pushups in their underwear while a heeled foot steps on them is fun and all, but it's the Law Revue's shameless tongue-in-cheek approach to the issues of misogyny in Thicke's original track that make this the best parody video, yet (even though Jimmy Fallon's was pretty good).
