Joe Zee Caught Filming In S.F., Profiling Local Designer

main
UPDATE: All-star R29 commenter La Lengua has chimed in, letting us know that the Zee filming is not for All On The Line, but rather a Sundance Channel documentary about the "high stakes and great lengths people will go to for designer fashion" — zeroing in on the Rainbow Girls. And, after all, she would know — as she was allegedly interviewed for it after her original commentary here.

We never fully stopped rooting for Joe Zee’s flourishing boob-tube career, after following him at Elle on MTV’s The City and then to the Sundance Channel’s addicting, yet heartwarming show
All On The Line,
we’re big fans of the chatty fashion figure. So, naturally, when we heard he was tromping around S.F. yesterday, our interests immediately piqued.

Apparently, Zee made his way through San Francisco to pick the brain of local designer Gus Harput — and while the only details we really have are an Instagram of the two together and an anonymous tipster confirming it’s for a segment on the Sundance Channel, our sneaking suspicions lead us to believe it’s for the Zee-hosted show All On The Line, in which he highlights talented albeit struggling designers to help them resurrect their brand. No word yet on when the aforementioned segment will air, but we’ve got the DVR ready!
