Like mother, like daughter! Christie Brinkley's little one is dipping her toes in the modeling world. Sailor Brinkley Cook is only 15 years old, but she's already landed her first modeling gig for tween-accessory giant Claire's. The back-to-school ad shows Sailor happily flashing a peace sign, carrying the most One Direction-themed products a girl could possibly dream up.
Sailor and her mom recently posed together on the cover of
Bella Magazine, and the likeness between the two is uncanny. Christie's adament that Sailor finish her education before diving head-first into the modeling world, though (and, of course, we heartily approve). "Sailor is first and foremost a student," Christie told WWD. "Getting a good education will remain her primary focus."
Incidentally, Coco Rocha would be proud. The underage modeling environment is still pretty much a jumble of poor management, overtime, and general strife at a delicate developmental time. Christie has faith in her daughter, though: "Her great sense of humor will protect her. Sailor has a good head on her shoulders so navigating her way around any negatives should be a breeze. She is, after all, named Sailor.” Amen, Christie — you named her well. Perhaps North West, who has no idea what she's in for when she gets older, will have similar success in the winds of fame? (WWD)
