If there's one thing we want, it's more Neil Patrick Harris showing off his triple-threat skills. If there's another thing we want, it's a revival of cult-classic Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Brace yourself: they're both happening! Yesterday, NPH announced that he will star in the titular role in a Broadway reboot set for spring 2014. “I am simultaneously ecstatic and terrified to be stepping into Hedwig’s heels,” said Harris in a statement. “It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime role and I can’t wait to begin the journey.”
We cannot wait to see Harris' take on the much-beloved role of Hedwig, a transexual rocker, made famous on stage and screen by John Cameron Mitchell. It's a story and an icon loved by millions, just like NPH. And if there's anyone we trust to take on the mammoth task of bringing Hedwig to a new audience, it's him. See you there, front-row center.
