Cambridge Satchel, The Best Of Britain? Now It’s Official

As a nation, Britain is rather good at producing white-hot design talent. Stella McCartney, Burberry, Pilotto… all ours. We’re not boasting (okay, maybe a little). And last week, the UK’s Fashion and Textiles Awards, celebrated new talent across the industry. The ceremony took place at the ritzy One Mayfair with Princess Anne presenting the awards.
Surprise, surprise, The Cambridge Satchel Company was up there on the podium, taking home Exporter Of The Year Award. Elsewhere in accessories, well done to our favourite London label, Tatty Devine whose quirky lasercut jewellery and perspex pieces won them the title of Accessories Designer Of The Year. Yippee!
Other categories produced more smiles and worthy winners. Christopher Raeburn scored Designer Business of the Year, Ted Baker took home Brand of the Year, and Liberty London won Retailer of the Year. (British Vogue)
