Double Take: The Olsen Twins Produce A Bag You Can (Maybe) Afford

We can't even really understand why someone would want a bag that costs less than $55,000...but, apparently, the Olsen twins know something we don't. The designers behind Elizabeth and James (which we quite like, actually) are going slummin' for its latest line of leather goods, which will ring in between $125 to $395 for small pieces and $395 to $625 for bags.
So, no, it's not cheap. But it is more affordable than some of the crazy, OTT-priced stuff they've come up with in the past. Maybe this is all a bid to be a bit more relatable? The bags will be featured in a wide range of colors, including the exciting "somewhat neutral." What did you expect? For less than the average person's yearly salary, these gals aren't going to come up with anything too special.
We kid, mostly. A lot of the Olsen's work actually demonstrates some real design talent, and here at R29 we've got plenty of duds from The Row and Elizabeth and James in our regular rotation. What about you? Would you consider saving up and splurging on this new addition to their resumé? (WWD)
