In no particular order, here are a few things we learned from the various covers of Vanity Fair's All-Star Comedy Issue: Paul Rudd would be a great circus ringleader. Kristen Wiig is a '70s glamour queen. Melissa McCarthy is a very scary clown.
Those folks and so many more are hamming it up on the three boisterous covers, in all variety of sparkles, velvet, and a whole lotta camp. Needless to say there are some familiar faces here, as well as some perpetually rising stars — Leslie Mann, in particular, is one we have our eye on (and she sure knows how to rock a bikini).

One complaint: Why didn't Lena Dunham, who's featured in the issue, make the cover? We imagine she would've come up with some pretty hilarious stuff for a retro-circus-themed photo shoot. Perhaps everyone in the issue was involved in one gigantic logistical nightmare of a shoot, and only these three photos made the cut.... Probably not, but we do like to think that, somewhere, there's a photo of Louis C.K. dressed as a lion jumping through a hoop held by Lena Dunham while Sarah Silverman casually swings by on a trapeze. The main thing that needs to be addressed here: Look at Jerry! Look at you go, Jerry! Out of hiding and wearing bell bottoms! Please, please, please come back to TV, wearing this outfit, for a remake entitled Seinfeld: Flashback!. You know, set in the exact same apartment, 20 years earlier?
