Courtney Love is one of those rare celebrities who thinks everything is about her, because, well, it often is. So, when footage of starlet Lana Del Rey crooning Love's late husband's song surfaced last week, the rocker-turned-fashion-maven-turned-crazed-Twitterer took to her favorite social medium to let Lana know what's what.
@LanaDelRey@bryanadamsBryan has anyone told Lana what Heartshaped box is about?

@lanadelreyso umm next time you sing it,think about myvagina will you? lolxc
While Nirvana lyrics are filled with evocative but bizarre imagery, according to Wikipedia, there happens to be some truth to Love's claim. Though the song isn't, erm, all yonic, the piece seems to have come from a journal that the two singers shared. Love doesn't sound mad about Del Rey's cover — she ends her last tweet with an "lol" and a "xc" — but, who can blame her for pointing out the song's origin? If a young singer was belting out tunes about our lady parts, we might want them to at least be aware of it. (Complex)
