First comes The Voice, then comes ... The Face?! Oxygen's newest reality competition about modeling, which seems to be based off of the popular NBC show The Voice, is quickly garnering notice ... and controversy. The upcoming series is not only stirring up rivalry within the program but between itself and America's Next Top Model. The competition show features a trio of supermodel mentors (Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, and Coco Rocha) who each guide a team of contestants through a series of ANTM-like challenges for the ultimate prize of becoming the next top model face of a major brand.
Furthermore, former ANTM judge Nigel Barker is joining The Face as the host. Fresh off the heels of his dismissal, Nigel's switch to Team Naomi seems like a slap in the face to Tyra. Nonetheless, his experience as a photographer/former model/ex-reality-TV-judge should aid him as he becomes part of this endeavor!

The fashion-forward reality competition (scheduled to air in '13) was announced following the very shocking makeover of ANTM, which included firing all of the original co-hosts/judges except for Tyra Banks. And, not surprisingly, the new show is also brewing a face-off between its mentor Naomi Campbell and ANTM's Tyra — the two of whom are infamous adversaries. It seems like producers are trying to up the show's ante by pushing the two supermodels' feud into the foreground. Hopefully, it won't include any cell phones and blood diamonds.
No word yet on what the forever-fierce Tyra Banks thinks about The Face, but we'll be sure to tune in when it premieres! (Modelinia)
