First Rite's Spring 2011 Collection Is Goth Gorgeous

Finally! The debut collection of uber-talented local designer Nikki Garcia has finally hit stores! Inspired by the idea of armor, the pieces from the all-black Spring 2011 First Rite line were crafted out of bamboo jersey, wool suiting fabric, and cotton sweatshirt fleece, cut into pared-down silhouettes and jazzed up with pleats, panels, and bold shoulders for an all together dark and romantic look. The first offerings (which range from $170-$310) include cropped blazers and jackets, tailored trousers, a mini-dress with an exposed zipper, and a floor-sweeping frock with a ladder-like cut-out back that we need in our closet immediately. Villains Vault, which is currently the exclusive carrier of the line, just shot a beautiful lookbook in honor of First Rite’s arrival in the Haight shop. Check that out over here, as well as our exclusive slideshow of all the equally gorgeous outtakes, below.
