Glow-In-The-Dark Jeans That Are Actually Cool

While we're not quite Harry Potter, we think these glow-in-the-dark selvedge jeans from Naked & Famous Denim are certainly a step towards Hogwarts enrollment. Hitting Barneys New York in July, $240 scores you 13oz indigo roped-dyed Japanese selvedge denim that's applied (in Japan) with a phosphorescent coating. And truth, this is not just a marketing gimmick—the jeans really do glow when the sun comes down or under a UV light (you know, if you have one in your living room). They've tested them in the laundry up to five washes and they still shine bright. While there's no model for gals yet, sometimes it's fun for only one member of the sex to be able to light up the night. You officially have our permission to get frisky—our, you know, find a dementor.

Naked & Famous Weird Guy Glow-In-The-Dark Selvedge, $240, available July 2011 at Barneys New York, 660 Madison Avenue (at 61st Street); 212-826-8900
