Are MAFS’ Rachel And Steven Still Together?

Rachel Gilmore and Steven Danyluk have seemed like one of the strongest couples on Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026, even after their rocky start (remember when he refused to kiss her?). They've made it through countless hurdles together, and Rachel is talking about moving in with Steven after the experiment finishes. However, MAFS 2026 was filmed months ago, so are Rachel and Steven still together?

Rachel was smitten with Steven when they met at the altar, and she previously told Refinery29 Australia he ticked all her boxes. "What I asked for on paper was a guy who was nice, a good guy. That's all I asked for. I had no prerequisites on what he looked like, his job, his background, nothing," Rachel said. "But as soon as I saw Steven, [I had] instant attraction for [him]... [I was] just bursting at the seams with emotions, and I was stoked."

Rachel and Steven decided to stay together at MAFS Final Vows, both declaring their commitment to each other and sharing some sweet sentiments. "You've never asked me to tone it down, be less or shrink myself to fit beside you. You've let me, be me, completely, and that's all I've ever wanted. I choose you Steven," Rachel said.

Steven also thanked Rachel for changing his views on love, and promised to choose her going forward. "I promise from this day forward, to show up for you, take every risk with you, and to never stop choosing you. I am falling for you."

Rachel penned a tribute to her MAFS husband on Instagram immediately after the Final Vows episode aired. It made it seem like the pair stayed together after the show ended. "My feelings are bigger than I can put into words, overwhelming in the best way, knowing how lucky I am to have found something real with you," she wrote. "So as this chapter ends, I’m not ready to let go. I’m choosing you, Steven — not just for this experiment, but for what could come next."

However, Rachel and Steven don't go the distance and break up shortly after MAFS Final Vows. It's also telling that Steven didn't write a tribute on Instagram to his bride.

"Rachel gave everything to that relationship and everyone saw Steven start to come around at the end," the insider says. However, Steven refused to make a plan to visit her after Final Vows was done, which caused their breakup.

"[That was] really the icing on the cake for Rachel. It was a devastating blow. Even Mel [Schilling] asks Steven at the Reunion Commitment Ceremony, 'Why did you even come on this experiment?'"

Steven has also been seen making some nightclub appearances with Joel Moses, so he's living his best single life.

This year hasn't been very successful, with only one couple being added to the Married At First Sight tally of successful matches. Perhaps next year will be better?
