In an interview with New Idea, Stella shared the lengths the pair went to so they could grow their connection. This included waking up at the crack of dawn to prioritise quality time. "We'd spend a few hours chatting in bed and hanging out before filming started," Stella said. "It was a special time for us."

Filip also told Nine.com.au that expert Mel Schilling helped save their relationship after a conflict around contraception use arose. "We really listened on that couch session and we were better for it because we had to have a chat about all that stuff," he said. "Other couples have been arguing about high school drama, we were worried about real-world stuff."

Stella and Filip's Final Vows were full of emotion, and included a major moment for the MAFS franchise. The bride read her speech first, saying: "You are my partner, my safe space, my adventure and my greatest gift. I came here to look for love, and what I found was far more profound."

Filip replied with a long speech of his own, listing all the qualities he loves in Stella, including her empathy and kindness. At the end of his speech, he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. "Stella, will you marry me?" he asked.
