Hobart is home to a whole lot of culture. The world-famous art gallery MONA calls the Tasmanian city home, and hosts the acclaimed winter solstice festival Dark Mofo as well as its summer equivalent, FOMA. There's a myriad of markets all year round that allow you to connect with local artisans and plenty of great small businesses in the community. Plus, Hobart has an unbeatable cafe culture and is brimming with quality brunch spots to boot. Even Flex Mami has established roots there.
But personally, we think Hobart's consignments stores, op shops and secondhand clothing markets are the unsung heroes of the Tasmanian epicentre. We have a special knack for scouring the country for the best thrifted finds, and have already created op shop guides for cities like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and now we're turning our attention towards Hobart.
Ahead, our very favourite op shops in Hobart, Tasmania.
