They're talking about Aura Friedman, the cult-beloved colorist at Sally Hershberger's downtown salon. The infinite edginess of Friedman's work has made her a favorite among editors — not to mention top-tier celebs like Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lawrence.

So, it makes sense that her Instagram account is an ongoing source of wonder. From before-and-after shots of her creations to images of the hair that inspires her, her feed is almost as good as booking an appointment. Almost.
