12 Celebs Who Bowed Down To Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj (real name: Onika Maraj) is turning 34, and she's been slaying the rap game since her first album was released nearly seven years ago. Nicki is a trailblazer through and through, known for her signature (and ever-changing) style and her messages about female empowerment and owning your own sexuality. She is perhaps one of the best examples of a strong, fierce female who makes no apologies for being exactly who she is...in her own words, "I give zero fucks and I got zero chill in me." And, quite, frankly, that's what we love about her.

Aside from her incredible rap skills and her overall message, Nicki has made it her mission to celebrate her own individuality. While we're always celebrating queen Nicki, she's also made plenty of other celebs bow down in her presence. Everyone from Beyoncé to Britney Spears has showered Nicki with adoration, and who can blame them? She's a total badass, and in honor of her birthday on December 8, it's the perfect time to look at the celebrities who heart Nicki just as much as we do.

Britney Spears

Britney invited Nicki to join her on her Femme Fatale tour back in 2011, and the two formed an adorable friendship. Britney was clearly sad when Nicki finished her tour dates and was joined by DJ Pauly D (remember him?!), posting to her Facebook: "You're already missed big time. Now I have to call DJ Pauly D to hear my favorite song every night ;) -Brit" Aw.

Adele

Adele proved her rap skills are as good as Nicki's when she performed a flawless version of Nicki's rap in "Monster" during her Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. Nicki herself bowed down to Adele, praising the performance as "iconic." These two ladies need to duet, but I'm honestly unsure the world could handle such fierceness in one song.

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne had effusive praise for his frequent collaborator, telling Time earlier this year: "Man, she’s so influential and doing all the right things. She’s an icon, a boss and a role model to all these young girls out here on how to do it the right way. Her work ethic speaks volumes and has yielded these results. The scary thing is she’s still going. Ha! Nicki Minaj will go down as one of the best to do it in the history of music."

Rihanna

As two of the most influential artists of the past decade, it's no surprise that Rihanna and Nicki have nothing but love for each other. They collaborated on "Fly" all the way back in 2011, and Rih shared a snap from the music video set on Twitter, joking, "Me and Nikki [sic] in our new crib, lol! Gettin busy on set of FLY!!! Its so hard to keep my hands off!"

Ariana Grande has been posting heart-eyes photos and messages to Nicki after the two released "Side to Side" earlier this year, and she captioned this shot of them performing, "I love you forever @nickiminaj."

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus may be on the outs with Nicki after their infamous spat at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards ("Miley, what's good?"), but we'd like to remember the happier times. Once upon a time, back in 2012, it was all love between the two, and Miley dressed up as Nicki for Halloween, tweeting a photo of her amazing costume, leopard jumpsuit, yellow wig and all.

Ellen DeGeneres

A year later, in 2013, Ellen DeGeneres took inspiration from Miley for her Halloween look, sporting an all-black ensemble and Nicki's long, blonde locks.

Tracee Ellis Ross, Laverne Cox, Eva Longoria & Joseph Gordon-Levitt

So many celebs love queen Nicki, she should really have her own top billing on Lip Sync Battle. Tracee Ellis Ross tackled her hit "Super Bass," Laverne Cox slayed "Roman's Revenge," and Eva Longoria champed it with her version of "Anaconda." And long before it was its own show, Joseph Gordon-Levitt rocked out to "Super Bass" in the very first segment of Lip Sync Battle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2013. Beyoncé

Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé are like a supernova of power too great for this universe, but it's natural that they adore the shit out of each other. Long before Bey joined Nicki's 2015 hit "Feelin' Myself" the two had plenty of BFF moments, including the time in 2014 when Bey bought Nicki a "FLAWLESS" diamond necklace, because isn't that what best friends are for? They woke up like this, and we're envious.

Bey's showered Nicki with praise a few other times, too. Back in 2014, she wished Nicki a happy birthday on her official website, including an adorable yearbook photo to commemorate the occasion. Then in 2015, Beyoncé paid tribute to Nicki onstage by dedicating her version of Prince's "Darling Nikki" to her, singing, "I met a girl named Nicki / I guess you can say she was the rap queen / I met her in the studio lobby but her booty looked bigger in the magazines / She said 'B, would you jump on this song of mine?' / How could I resist when I heard little Nicki rhyme." Swoon.
