John Oliver has gained a rather famous fan: Caitlyn Jenner.
The I Am Cait star tweeted her praise for a recent Last Week Tonight segment in which Oliver spoke out in favor of rights for the trans community. Jenner, of course, made her debut as a trans woman earlier this summer.
“It’s pretty simple: call them whatever they want to be called," Oliver said in a segment encouraging viewers to respect those who identify as transgender. "You can do it. We do it all the time. David Evans woke up one day and said, ‘Everyone call me The Edge.’ And we all went, ‘Fine, The Edge, are we talking the noun or the verb?"
His statements clearly resonated with Jenner. Here's the tweet she posted about in support.
