Show up a day late to a party? In Matthew McConaughey's world, even that faux pas is "alright, alright, alright." So long as you're Anne Hathaway, that is.
The actress revealed an embarrassing moment during this week's American Cinematheque tribute to her Interstellar costar. McConaughey had graciously invited Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, to a party at his Los Angeles home. Grab a bottle of wine, turn up on time — no problem. Or , so she thought.
"My husband and I drive up," Hathaway said. "It's a Sunday. It's a beautiful day. There are no cars around and we thought, OK, we're on time. We're on time for once."

McConaughey greeted the couple at the door.
"Matthew goes, 'Yeah, you gotta come in,'" Hathaway continued. "Matthew turns around, again [with] a smile and goes, 'The party was last night.'"
Yep. They were a day late. Rather than rave on about the couple missing out on bongos or whatever else goes down at a McParty, the Oscar winner offered the latecomers some wine.
"That glass of wine lead to the first bottle," Hathaway said. "I stopped counting after four and then I went with you to someone's surprise birthday party that night...You were so good to me and Adam."
Gotta say, we're pretty jealous. Dude truly is the hostest with the mostest. (E!)
