It may just be this particular writer, but the term "baby bump" is kind of disturbing. A bump is something that you need to watch for when speeding, or be alarmed by if it appears unannounced on skin. It is not, however, a concept that houses another living creature. So, can we, as a society, come up with a better term? Pregnancy pouch? Mum tum? Firmly in the anti-bump camp, over here.
With that out of the way, Drew Barrymore managed to sneakily conceal her bump tum for a good long while, debuting it well into her pregnancy as a fully baby-fied belly. Last night, the lovely actress and mom of one showed up to the aptly named Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles, wearing a loose-fitting Tory Burch maxi-dress and a gold nameplate with her daughter Olive's name. The airy, cool blue may be sending gender cues (but it is also floral? Darn those coded gender signifiers!), and it's a great hue to show off how glowing and lovely Barrymore is these days.
