Rainbows, unicorns, teddy bears, cupcakes...if you're a child of the '80s, you know that those items mean only one thing: Lisa Frank. As the ultimate purveyor of little girl happiness, the company doled out coloring books, folders, and backpacks for tweens. While most of us are more than familiar with the line of colorful stickers (and maybe even still have our favorites saved in a book somewhere), you're probably less in the know about Lisa Frank, the real, live person.
Urban Outfitters managed to score a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interview the notoriously private Frank in her Tucson office, and the resulting video will blow your mind. The Lisa Frank HQ is exactly everything we wanted it to be: Bright, colorful, and filled with every LF product that's ever been made. You're even greeted by a dancing, rainbow-clad teddy bear at the door. Although the real Frank declined to be seen on camera, she still paints a fascinating picture of life in a technicolor world. As it turns out, she makes such amazing children's products because she's just a big kid herself.
Check out the video below, and get ready to squeal like your 8-year-old self after bringing home a new package colorful stickers. And, as a bonus, Urban Outfitters even gave us a peek at a young Mila Kunis acting in a vintage LF commercial. Talk about a throwback. (Atlantic)
