Despite the chills of Fashion Week, we saw some covetable trenches getting snapped left, right, and center (we even broke out our trusty Opening Ceremony when the temp climbed above 40 degrees). The runways also got us in the trenchy trend mode, with Karen Walker and Charlotte Ronson offering up sleek styles. But when we spotted this Kai-aakmann number, our check-list got a monster addition. Each season Kai re-invents this classic closet staple as an ode to NYC, and for fall '11, they debuted styles in army green and black with an unconventional spin—think super-high button-up collars, futurist, Dementor-ish hoods, and tied sleeves. Retailing at a pretty reasonable $220, their men's and women's (though they're all pretty unisex) trench-coats will hit the OAK in August. Trust us, we're already counting down the days.
