Brow Extensions

Master Lash By Charity

Not many aestheticians in Los Angeles specialize in brow extensions, but Charity Engebretsen is one of the few pioneering the service from her Santa Monica studio. The technique involves using semi-permanent adhesive to attach individual human hairs (she stocks a variety of colors, textures, and lengths) to your existing brow hairs. The result? An enviably full arch.

Master Lash by Charity, 5th Montana Avenue (at 5th Street); 858-888-3963.

Nine Zero One Salon
Another spot in town that offers brow extensions? Cult favorite Nine Zero One Salon, where makeup artist and brow expert Mae Manalo will carefully build out your brow using small synthetic hairs. According to Mae, since your brows attract oil and debris, extensions may only last up to a week, but they’re ideal for special events when you want a thicker, more defined arch.
Price: Starts at $100.

Nine Zero One Salon, 8469 Melrose Place (near North La Cienega Boulevard); 310-855-9099.
