H2O Has Never Looked This Chic

There’s really nothing that the wave of a magic, design-infused wand can’t make infinitely better. We’ve seen some of our favorite products — from portable boom boxes to the classic Post-it notes — be turned into savvy must-haves that are hardly eyesores.
And, up until now we’ve been lamenting the look of the bulky, plastic hunk of ugly in our fridge otherwise known as our aqua filter. Essential? Yes. Pretty? Not exactly. Lucky for us, S.F.-based Mike Del Ponte discovered a way to make it a sleek addition to the kitchen. Soma is an hourglass-shaped water filter that not only looks elegant perched on your kitchen counter and dinner table, but is made of completely sustainable materials and houses an organic filter, that — get this — you don’t have to remember to replace. Um, amazing.
The Soma peeps will deliver it to you every two months. Talk about convenient. To sweeten the deal, Soma donates a portion of profits to Charity Water, a non-profit helping bring clean and safe drinking water to everyone. Okay, we never thought we’d be this hyped about the release of a water filter (does that mean we’re officially adults?) and for 49 bucks, we're officially over the moon.
