We can’t help but get a little over excited when an awesome collaboration hits our radar — especially one that gets back to the basics. Sandal designer Rachel Corry and Oakland-based accessories wonder Laura Schoorl have joined forces on a project that will soon have us dancing in our skivvies!
Their brainchild comes at us in the form of Pansy, an organic and ethical underwear venture that’s cut from domestic cotton cloth, then designed and sewn locally. Best yet, we won’t have to wait too long to step into the drawers: The online shop opens on October 10!
Of course, no launch as sweet as this could go without a celebratory shindig. Next Thursday, we can cheers our floral-flavored cocktails to the new brand at Gravel and Gold, as well as munch and crunch on the plateful of yummers on the scene. Don’t forget to show your tush some love and pick up a pair of the ridiculously soft chonies.
When: Thursday, October 10, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Gravel and Gold, 3266 21st Street (at Lexington Street); 415-552-0112.
