The 25 year-old chanteuse cites Billie Holiday, Tom Waits, David Lynch, and Marilyn Monroe as influences, and her dramatic streak can be seen in her clothing choices, as well. We love her Mamie Eisenhower bangs, heavy eye makeup and impressive collection of come-hither dresses that are as inspiring as her sexily whispered lyrics. The music video for "Melt" showcases her seductive vocals and some jazzy brass accompaniment, as well as Simone herself languidly writhing in a body-conscious black dress.
