We're not sure if we qualify as sadomasochists, but we certainly like to gross ourselves out when it comes to food. After giving up Happy Meals and Chicken McNuggets for good, we've already vowed not to eat, err sip, the latest entry into the meat market, drinks made with processed meat. Introduced by Flor de Caña in NYC recently, these alcoholic beverages are billed as "savory carnivorous cocktails that invoke meat lovers favorite meals." There's recipes for drinks called the "Cheeseburger" (beef, iceberg lettuce, dry mustard powder), the "BLT" (bacon-infused rum, worcestershire sauce), and the "PB & J," which doesn't contain dead animals, just egg whites. FYI, we're making barf noises right now. For full recipes, check out Gothamist—just don't invite us over for a martini.
