Believe it or not, it’s been 30 years — an entire generation — since GUESS’ original, three-zip Marilyn jean put their mark on fashion forever. To celebrate, the brand is going back to its roots with a new campaign featuring the star of its classic ads, Claudia Schiffer, and releasing a limited-edition line of updates on their iconic pieces. To join in the festivities, we snapped 30 of our favorite fashionable friends wearing the vintage-inspired 30th anniversary collection and asked them what GUESS means to them. Thirty women, 30 days, 30 sexy years of GUESS.

Ten-second bio: "I work for a company called Karen Harvey Consulting where I’m a global talent scout for fashion designers. I’m also a part-time DJ."
Favorite ‘80s memory: "Michael Jackson’s live performance of 'Billie Jean' at the Motown 25 show in 1983 in a sparkly shirt, jacket, gloves, and socks. I was only one at the time, but I remember watching it over and over years later."

Favorite GUESS memory: "When I was little, I was obsessed with my GUESS denim miniskirt. I even forced my parents to let me wear it to softball practice even though they said I shouldn’t wear a skirt playing sports! They tried to convince me, but it was to no avail. Even at that young age, it was already fairly typical of my outfit choices. It’s only gotten worse since."
Favorite returning ‘80s fashion trend: “I’m really glad longer skirts are coming back. Love that look. I’m also loving oversized sweatshirts and sweaters, too (but not necessarily off the shoulder).”
