First Look: Dace Fall 2010

This fall, every sartorially-minded girl should consider adding a little Canadian flavor to her U.S. of A. wardrobe. Dace, the eponymous brand from designer Dace Moore of Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, was launched in '02 and has garnered a frenzy of attention in Canada. Now, Dace is bringing her collection of feminine essentials stateside to New York City. Featuring tailored cropped pants and deliciously draped cotton and silk tops, Dace's fall '10 collection is perfect for any crisp autumn jaunt in Central Park (or a vodka gimlet at Kenmare) with a unique interpretation of the militaristic trend we love so much (think brass buttons and epaulets). With styles that are comprised of sophisticated and modern lines, the brand conveys a femininity that is hard to ignore. Structured trenches and drool-worthy sweater dresses add a lil' uptown polish to the hipster-ish navy and neutral prints. Set to launch in two weeks, Dace is planning a full-scale cross-border raid, with drops in fashion-havens like Steven Alan and Dear Fieldbinder.
