From The Detachable Collar Down: Eleven Objects’ First FULL Collection

Eleven Objects is the type of brand whose expertise is wholly contemporary. Since the first collection (fall '11), the label has focused entirely on one of the trendiest modern accessories imaginable: the detachable collar.
Its luxe accessories — often encrusted with jewels or studs and fetching hundreds of dollars for the effort — were so spellbinding, they started showing up on the necks of influential style bloggers and in magazine spreads alike. Now for fall '12, Eleven Objects has taken the magic of their neckbands and applied it to a full collection that outfits the entire body.
While there are still collars that beg for attention, they're taking a backseat to the new looks, which are dark and lush, heavy on peplum accents, gilded fabrics, and sheer skirting — just the type of expansion you might expect from the line. This season's efforts are lovely, but also just make plain good business sense: You never know when the market (and street-style superstars) will tire of the ever-present detachable collar.
