"Footwear designer. I've done collaborative projects with Victoria's Secret, Android Homme, tAz Arnold (aka TI$A), Urban Outfitters, and Opening Ceremony."
What were your first pair of jeans?
"Levi's. I just remember buying them with my allowance as a child."
First Look: "A Levi's denim shirt, D&G pants, Valentino pumps, and a Christopher Chaun bow tie and pocket square."
Second Look: "A vintage blazer and blouse, Uniqlo skinny jeans, and Charlotte Olympia heels."
How many pairs of jeans do you own?
Do you have a preferred philosophy when it comes to jeans: Sexy and skinny, or loose and comfy?
"I only buy silhouettes that are sexy and comfy, I live for both skinny and loose fits."
Used or new?
"All of the above. Used jeans; history and character. New jeans; a new relationship."
What's your signature wash...or does it matter?
What's your favorite way to wear your jeans and with what?
"Jean bottoms with nothing on top, or jean tops with nothing on bottom. In reality, I like to mix my jeans with more contemporary, dressier pieces."
If your jeans had a name or theme song, what would it be? Or do they?
"I refer to them as 'her' and 'she.'"
Favorite example of celebrity-jean wearing (i.e., Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA album cover).
"Janet Jackson's iconic 1993 Rolling Stone cover."
What do you love most about your favorite denim pieces?
"That they never make me feel typically casual. I don't wear denim to dress down."
