What's harder than finding THE dress for yourself? Finding the perfect getups for your bridesmaids. Between their different tastes (and sizes), your fairy-tale ending might seem light-years away. To the rescue: Brideside, a new online shopping resource for bridal parties that is guaranteed to end any dress drama that may ensue.
Cofounders, Sonali Lamba and Nicole Staple, met at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, where the concept for Brideside was born and their interest of the wedding biz and major love of fashion was shared. When deciding where to build Brideside, they opted for Chicago over San Fran and New York City, as they felt the city had a great sense of loyalty and support — and we couldn't agree more.
Here's how their savvy, sartorial site works: Simply log in to Brideside.me and start perusing over 120 gorgeous designer frocks — many of which are Brideside exclusives — in over 100 different color palettes. If you have something specific in mind, you can search by style, fabric, or length. Once you see something you like, drop it into your "closet" so you can share your picks with your maids. Next, dresses will be shipped out for bridesmaids to try on at-home. A heck of a lot easier than trying to wrangle everyone to meet at the bridal boutique, no? Once the final decision is made, purchases can be made directly through the Brideside website.
And in case you're in need of a little inspiration beyond that stack of bridal mags you've been collecting, the site also boasts super-cool interviews with its designers, as well as galleries of snaps from real weddings where Brideside dresses are seen on gals of all shapes and sizes. And speaking of achieving the perfect fit, there's also a sizing guide from Clothes Horse, a leading online sizing recommendation engine.
To get you started, Lamba and Staple pulled a few of their favorite dresses they are loving now. So, click through and may everyone in your bridal party be happily ever after.
