6 Ways To Get Out Of Your Weekend Style Rut

Photographed by Mary Lucas.
When you think about it, weekends demand a lot from your closet. Walking your dog, noshing on French toast, kicking back with friends, and dancing atop a banquette at 2 a.m. do not warrant the same dress code. And, amid all the wardrobe changes, your off-duty fashion game always has to be on point. What better place to look for a little inspiration than the capital of laid-back style, SoCal?
So, when we headed to Orange County last weekend for our latest Shopping Block event with Simon Malls and Premium Outlets (hosted by the ever well-dressed Grasie Mercedes), we made sure to take note of shoppers' Saturday style moves. Crowd standouts at Brea Mall included easy jumpsuits, duo-toned steppers, fringe accessories, and a whole lotta denim, which we snapped in the photos ahead.
For the final stop on our cross-country shopping tour, we're heading back to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Central Valley, NY, where shoppers can DIY their own totes, practice their fall beauty looks, shop local designers, and enter for a chance to win $1,500. We hope you'll make it, but either way, hit the slides for some original O.C. shopper style. Because what's more weekend-ready than an ensemble fit for retail therapy?
