You Can Now Eat Princess Beatrice’s Hat (At A Royal Afternoon Tea)

pret-a-portea
Leave it to the Brits to create the craziest, most outrageous, yet totally awesome tea party we've ever seen. If there were ever a reason to hop the pond for a London vacay (or for lucky locals, a trip across town for a spot of tea), The Berkeley's "Prêt-a-Portea – The Royal Collection" would be the reason that takes the cake — pun totally intended. During the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year (that's June 1 through June 9 for those of us stateside), the Knightsbridge hotel will transform its already epic fashion-flavored afternoon tea into a royal tribute. Rip into Princess Beatrice's notorious Philip Treacy hat for a praline profiterole or a miniature version of the Queen's coronation crown made into a vanilla biscuit and covered in sugar diamonds (naturally).
Better get to the Berkeley quick, the celebration ends after Her Majesty's big day. If you don't love every fashion (and cream)-filled moment, we'll eat our hat take it off your hands, gladly.
