Listen Up: Jewels That Speak In Morse Code

Sometimes, we like to wear our hearts on our sleeves — quite literally, in fact, with this season's runway heavy hitters like Christopher Kane and Alexander Wang’s graphic wares. But, sometimes, we prefer the more subtle approach to wordplay — in code. Apparently, Tribeca-based jewelry aficionado Cass Lilien does, too.
The designer, who sets up shop in a 60-square-foot space often mistaken for the coat check of The Harrison hotel next door (P.S. it’s the gorgeous interior detailing that makes it worth it), just debuted “The Morse Code” collection. Mixing repurposed vintage pieces with contemporary notes, the handcrafted line of necklaces and bracelets boasts five different groups, including “Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll featuring coded song lyrics from infamous rock bands and “Favorite People,” which allows you to customize your bauble with your own special code.
