Mara Hoffman Summer ’12 Swimwear Goes Cuban

One of Swim Week's favorite pattern-obsessed designers has Cuba on the brain. For her spring '12 collection, Mara Hoffman takes inspiration from our southern neighbors, in a major way. We're talking intese prints, wild neons, and some lush jungle backdrops, to start with.
When was asked her about the Olivia Malone-shot campaign (which stars the brutally sexy Nykhor), Hoffman had this to say: "We were going for something rich with ceremony and sexy yin witchery, pulling references from Cuban and Caribbean environments." Her spot-on swimwear feels spiritual and spooking, and, as always, her collection is as colorful as it is strong. Click through to take a look at the pic (complete with amazing headdresses and some fluorescent makeup we can't wait to try) and let us know what you think. The voodoo is strong with this one.
