Don Draper is single.
After 18 years together, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt have parted ways, US Weekly reports.
"With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history," Hamm and Westfeldt said in a joint statement. "We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward."
The couple met through a mutual friend and never married or had children together. Of course, they aren't the only Hollywood couple who have gone the long haul without tying the knot. Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins were together for 23 years sans wedding rings, only nine years shy of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's 32-year relationship. Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham are still going strong after almost three unmarried decades.
It's certainly been a trying year for the recently split pair. In March, Hamm publicly revealed he had attended a one-month rehab program for alcohol addiction. “Life throws a lot at you sometimes and you have to deal with it as much as you can," Hamm said about actively battling addiction to TV Week in March.
Whether or not this breakup is a curveball is debatable, especially considering the couple was last seen publicly in January. Though ultimately, those details are probably none of our business, as Hamm noted about his rehab backstory.
"I understand it constitutes news these days, but it’s between me and my family and not something for public consumption," Hamm said in March, regarding his rehab's connection to playing the bourbon-swilling Don Draper on Mad Men.
As for demanding intimate details, we have a hunch the same goes for their breakup reasons as well.
